Joseph’s work connects ecological stewardship, mental well-being, personal development, and collective responsibility. As guardian of the Amaru Mayu Biosphere Reserve, he combines many years of practical conservation work in the Peruvian Amazon with experience in counseling, ecotherapy, contemplative practice, and experiential education.
About Joseph
Joseph is an ecological and mystical guide dedicated to cultivating collective responsibility through intergenerational, empathic leadership. His work brings together biodiversity, wellness, and personal development, helping people reconnect with themselves, one another, and the living planet.
For more than a decade, he has volunteered in analog forestry across the 1,000-hectare Amaru Mayu Biosphere Reserve in the Peruvian Amazon. His work includes restoring storm-damaged habitats, regenerating the forest canopy, dispersing seeds that sustain many forms of wildlife, and training communities in ecological resilience and civic engagement.
Joseph has led more than 100 treks and pilgrimages in Peru and the United States, accompanying participants from over 20 countries. These journeys are designed to support shifts in physical and mental well-being, perception, and ecological awareness.
He also brings 15 years of experience in conflict resolution and mental health counseling. During this time, he has supported families living with developmental differences, young people in therapeutic group-home settings, and individuals facing housing instability. Through ecotherapeutic methods, he helps people stabilize crises, clarify their goals, and develop practical inner tools.
For more than 12 years, Joseph has facilitated mystical meditation, yoga, alchemical practices, and ceremonial rituals with hundreds of participants. Through this work, he helps reveal generational and cultural patterns while cultivating biodiversity awareness and leadership skills.
His work offers opportunities for individual and collective healing, creating space for people to engage with the unconscious patterns that shape their lives and communities.

Amaru Mayu Biosphere Reserve
Joseph is the guardian of the 1,000-hectare Amaru Mayu Biosphere Reserve in the Madre de Dios region of Peru. The reserve has been legally protected for more than 30 years and forms part of an important wildlife corridor bordering Manu National Park.
