The Shipibo-Conibo are an Indigenous people of the Peruvian Amazon, living in more than 150 communities along the Ucayali River.
Their distinctive embroidered and painted designs, known as Kené, are intricate geometric patterns that express a sophisticated cultural tradition passed down through generations.
Within the Shipibo worldview, Kené is far more than decoration. It reflects relationships between people, nature, and the spiritual world, and is traditionally associated with harmony, balance, healing, and cultural identity.
Every piece is handcrafted using traditional techniques, preserving ancestral knowledge while providing sustainable livelihoods for the artisans who continue this living tradition.
Since 2008, Kené has been officially recognized as part of the Cultural Heritage of the Nation of Peru.

Realization of Origin works in close partnership with three Shipibo sisters—Milca, Faviola, and Yuriza Inuma Valles—from the community of San Francisco near Pucallpa in the Peruvian Amazon.
Our collaboration is built on mutual respect, fair compensation, and long-term relationships. Every purchase directly supports the artisans, helping preserve traditional craftsmanship while creating sustainable economic opportunities for their families and community.
