A Unique Hand-Embroidered Piece from the Peruvian Amazon
This one-of-a-kind sweater combines contemporary clothing with the traditional embroidery art of the Shipibo-Conibo people of the Peruvian Amazon.
Each piece is individually embroidered by hand by Shipibo artisans from the community of San Francisco near Pucallpa. The embroidery incorporates Kené, the distinctive geometric design tradition of the Shipibo-Conibo, together with motifs inspired by the plants, animals, and landscapes of the Amazon.

The Meaning Behind the Embroidery
Kené is far more than decoration. Within the Shipibo worldview, these intricate geometric patterns express relationships between people, nature, and the spiritual world and are associated with harmony, balance, healing, and cultural identity.
The knowledge behind these designs has been passed down through generations. Since 2008, Kené has been officially recognized as part of the Cultural Heritage of the Nation of Peru.
